La Cerdanya is a high mountain region located in southern Europe, in the Pyrenees mountain range, between Spain and France. It belongs to the autonomous community of Catalonia.
Cerdanya has a land area of 1,086 km2(419 sq mi), divided almost evenly between Spain (50.3%) and France (49.7%). The only urban area in Cerdanya is the cross-border urban area of Puigcerdà-Bourg-Madame, which contained 10,900 inhabitants.
The region enjoys a high annual amount of sunshine – around 3,000 hours per year. This fact and its Mediterranean and mountain climate make it a privileged destination for all those seeking a health, relaxation, sports and culture vacation all year long.

Cerdanya is 140 kms from Barcelona via highway and Cadí Tunnel, a pleasant 90 to 120 min drive by car.Also you can get there by train and bus from Barcelona (2 h 30 min to 3 h)
Barcelona International Airport has direct connections to the main cities in the world. Direct aerobus and train services connect to the city every 10 minutes. From the same airport you can rent a car and get to La Cerdanya in less than 2 h by highway and Cadí Tunel
